Carlos Gomez (groin) lands on Rays' disabled list
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Carlos Gomez was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a right groin injury.
Gomez made an early exit from Tuesday's win over the Kansas City Royals due to tightness in his right groin. Johnny Field is covering right field on Wednesday and Christian Arroyo was called up from Triple-A Durham in a corresponding roster move.
Gomez is averaging 7.8 FanDuel points in 37 games this season while slashing .200/.252/.345 with 5 home runs and 11 RBI through 156 plate appearances.
