Jeimer Candelario lands on Tigers' disabled list with wrist tendinitis
Detroit Tigers third baseman Jeimer Candelario was placed on the 10-day disabled list with left wrist tendinitis.
Candelario has been bothered by wrist soreness throughout his career, and even though an MRI came back clean, the Tigers want to give the young third baseman extended time off. Pete Kozma has drawn the start at the hot corner for Detroit in each of the past two games and Dawel Lugo was called up from Triple-A Toledo in a corresponding roster move.
Candelario is averaging 11.2 FanDuel points in 37 games this season while slashing .272/.359/.497 with 5 dingers and 16 RBI through 167 plate appearances.
