Blue Jays' Roberto Osuna reportedly arrested on assault charge
Toronto Blue Jays closer Roberto Osuna was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with assault on a woman, per Toronto Police, reports John Lott of The Athletic.
Osuna has been released from jail and is scheduled to appear in court on July 18. With a suspension for the 23-year-old right-hander likely coming, the Blue Jays have options to fill the void, with Tyler Clippard, Seung Hwan Oh, John Axford, and Ryan Tepera all as potential ninth-inning options.
Osuna is averaging 4.7 FanDuel points through 15 appearances this season while picking up 9 saves (10 chances) with a 2.93 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 13 strikeouts across 15 1/3 innings.
