Pirates' Nick Kingham carries perfect game into seventh frame in MLB debut
Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Nick Kingham recorded 9 strikeouts and allowed 1 hit over seven scoreless innings during his MLB debut Sunday in a 5-0 win over the St. Louis Cardinals.
Kingham carried a perfect game into the seventh inning before yielding a two-out single to Paul DeJong. He finished out the frame and then the bullpen took care of the rest, giving the 26-year-old right-hander his first career victory in the majors. Assuming Kingham did enough to stick around in the rotation, he will likely toe the rubber against the Milwaukee Brewers next weekend.
Kingham scored 58.0 FanDuel points in his MLB debut on Sunday.
