Cory Spangenberg out of the Padres' lineup on Wednesday
San Diego Padres infielder/outfielder Cory Spangenberg is not starting on Wednesday against the Colorado Rockies.
What It Means:
Spangenberg has filled in for the injured Christian Villanueva (hamstring) the past couple games, but he'll return to the bench this afternoon. Chase Headley is getting the start at third base. Villanueva is expected to return on Friday.
Spangenberg is hitting .200/.241/.364 with 5 runs, 2 home run, 6 RBIs, and 1 stolen base over 59 plate appearances.
