Orioles place Jonathan Schoop (oblique) on 10-day DL

Baltimore Orioles second/third baseman Jonathan Schoop has been placed on the team's 10-day disabled list.

What It Means:

Schoop strained his right oblique, so he could help out for a little. Tim Beckham has taken over at second on Saturday with Danny Valencia at third. The Orioles will probably stick with that until Schoop's healthy enough to get back in the lineup.

Schoop is off to a slow start, hitting just .230 with 1 home run through 14 games.
