Tigers' Jordan Zimmermann (jaw) expects to make next start
Detroit Tigers pitcher Jordan Zimmermann exited Thursday's start after taking a comebacker to the jaw, but according to MLive's Evan Woodbery, he expects to make his next scheduled start on Tuesday.
Zimmermann was hit by a Jason Kipnis line drive during the first inning of Wednesday's game against the Cleveland Indians. He passed the concussion protocol and reportedly feels fine. He is day-to-day, but it looks like he'll be out there Tuesday against the Baltimore Orioles.
Zimmermann left Wednesday's game after just 2/3 inning. He's projected for 5.8 innings and 23.3 FanDuel points in Tuesday's matchup with Baltimore.
