Daniel Murphy (quad) is back with the Mets
After being sidelined for 24 days with a strained quadriceps muscle, Daniel Murphy has been activated from the DL. In return, Dilson Herrera has been optioned to Triple A Las Vegas.
What It Means:
Murphy is scheduled to play third base with Ruben Tejada moving to short and Wilmer Flores moving to second. The Mets lineup will gladly welcome Murphys' bat back in the rotation. Before his injury, he was hitting .283 with 4 home runs, a wOBA of .313, and a nERD of 0.13.
