Dodgers officially place Justin Turner (wrist) on disabled list
Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner (wrist) was placed on the 10-day disabled list on Thursday.
Turner was diagnosed with a fractured wrist last week, so it was only a matter of time before he was officially moved to the disabled list. Although he won't require surgery, Turner is expected to miss 6-8 weeks, and wrist injuries can often reduce a player's effectiveness even after they return. Logan Forsythe is expected to get most of the starts at third base while Chase Utley and Enrique Hernandez split time at second base.
Last season, Turner slashed .322/.415/.530 with 21 home runs over 543 plate appearances.
