Edwin Encarnacion (ankle) out of Indians' ALDS Game 3 lineup
Cleveland Indians first baseman/designated hitter Edwin Encarnacion (ankle) is not in the lineup for Game 3 of the ALDS against the New York Yankees.
Encarnacion sprained his ankle in Game 2 on Friday and with him out of the lineup on Sunday, Michael Brantley is serving as the DH and hitting seventh against right-hander Masahiro Tanaka. It's unknown if Encarnacion could be available on Monday if this series is extended.
So far Encarnacion is hitless in the Division Series with a walk and a run scored.
