Carlos Beltran absent from Astros' lineup on Wednesday night
Houston Astros designated hitter Carlos Beltran is not starting on Wednesday against the Chicago White Sox.
It's likely just a breather for Beltran, who will be replaced at DH by George Springer while Cameron Maybin draws the start in center field for Houston. The 40-year-old veteran has 14 home runs and a .233 batting average in 123 games this season.
numberFire's models project Beltran to record a .256 batting average with 1 home run, 5 RBI, and 4 runs scored in 42 plate appearances over the remainder of the season.
