Blue Jays activate Travis, option Kawasaki to Triple-A
Blue Jays second basemen Devon Travis has been activated from the disabled list following a month-long absence from the team due to a shoulder injury. Backup infielder Munenori Kawasaki has been optioned down to Triple-A Buffalo.
What It Means:
This is great news for the Blue Jays, as Travis was batting .271, with 7 home runs, 26 RBI, and a .336 OBP prior to his injury. He had a solid 1.14 nERD in his first 36 games of the season. Expect to see him near the top of the lineup as long as he stays healthy.
