Mets' Noah Syndergaard (lat) throws to hitters Monday
New York Mets starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard (lat) threw to hitters Monday.
Syndergaard will throw a simulated game before the Mets make a decision on his status. He went down on April 30 with a torn right lat muscle, but the ace right-hander is determined to pitch again this season. If he does make it back on the Mets' mound in 2017, it will likely be out of the bullpen, so fantasy owners shouldn't feel obligated to still be holding Thor at this point.
Across 27 1/3 innings this season, Syndergaard posted a 3.29 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, 28.1 strikeout percentage, and 1.8 walk percentage while going 1-2 (five starts).
