Logan Morrison sitting Friday for Tampa Bay
Tampa Bay Rays first baseman Logan Morrison is absent from the club's starting lineup Friday against the Boston Red Sox.
With the Rays matching up with lefty Chris Sale on Friday night, Morrison will step aside in favor of righty Trevor Plouffe. Plouffe bats cleanup in the Rays' order.
Morrison is a respectable 5-for-15 for his career against Sale, but he's batting just .200 at home against lefties this year. We project the slugger for 3 homers, 9 RBI and a .263 average over the remainder of the 2017 season.
