Twins' Jose Berrios says he's feeling fatigued
Minnesota Twins pitcher Jose Berrios admitted to feeling fatigued after Thursday's start against the Toronto Blue Jays.
In last night's outing, Berrios went 5 2/3 innings while scattering five hits and allowing just one earned run. He tallied five strikeouts and issued four free passes as the Twins took the 3-2 win in Minnesota. After last night's no-decision, Berrios remains 12-7 on the year with 136 innings pitched at the big league level. When you factor in Berrios' 39 2/3 at the Triple-A level, he's now pitched six more innings than he did all of last year.
With the possibility of Minnesota giving their young ace a rest or two down the stretch, we project Berrios for a 1-1 record, 4.42 ERA and 1.41 WHIP in 16-plus innings the rest of the year.
