Rangers' Willie Calhoun to make MLB debut on Tuesday
Texas Rangers second baseman/outfielder Willie Calhoun will make his professional debut Tuesday versus the Seattle Mariners.
The Rangers purchased Calhoun's contract from Triple-A earlier today and will ask him to step in immediately tonight in Texas. He will play left field and hit seventh against Marco Gonzalez while Ryan Rua plays first base and Will Middlebrooks goes to the bench.
Calhoun isn't on tonight's slate given his recent call-up. Nonetheless, of all 28 teams on tonight's loaded slate, the Rangers' implied total of 5.95 runs is the highest by 0.32 runs. He could be a big factor in the middle of the Rangers' order.
