Blue Jays' Steve Pearce (back) sitting out Saturday's matchup
Toronto Blue Jays first baseman/outfielder Steve Pearce is not in the club's lineup Saturday versus the Detroit Tigers.
Pearce exited last night's game due to back tightness and will remain out for this afternoon's matchup. That leaves Teoscar Hernandez to play left field and bat sixth against Detroit's Chad Bell.
Over 53 plate appearances, our models project Pearce to tally 2 home runs, 3 doubles and 7 RBI over the rest of the 2017 season.
