Austin Slater is not starting for the Giants on Friday
San Francisco Giants outfielder Austin Slater is not in the lineup against the Chicago White Sox on Friday.
Slater was activated from the disabled list this week, and on Wednesday made his first start in two months. He will head to the bench in favor of Mac Williamson on Friday.
Our models project Slater for just 18 plate appearances the rest of the season, but that number could go up if he begins to get regular playing time. In either case, he's unlikely to make much of a fantasy impact in 2017.
