Twins' Miguel Sano (shin) feels sore after running
Minnesota Twins third baseman/designated hitter Miguel Sano's ailing left shin felt sore Thursday after he did some light running Wednesday.
Sano has been out since August 20 with a stress reaction in his shin, and in regards to his running, Twins manager Paul Molitor said the 24-year-old "got through it, but [Thursday] he was sore from having done that for the first time." They are hopeful Sano will be able to get on the field Friday after the soreness limited him to hitting off a tee Thursday rather than taking batting practice.
Over 111 games this season, Sano is slashing .267/.356/.514 with an .870 OPS while recording 28 home runs, 77 RBI, and 75 runs scored across 475 plate appearances (PA).
