Washington's Jayson Werth (shoulder) absent from the starting lineup on Thursday
Washington Nationals right fielder Jayson Werth is sitting out Thursday night's matchup against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Nursing a very minor shoulder injury, Werth will take a night off in favor of Alejandro De Aza in right field this evening.
Over 55 games, Werth has accounted for 9 home runs and a .330 wOBA to this point. He's expected to tally 1 more homer in addition to 2 doubles and 4 RBI in 40 plate appearances the rest of the way.
