Marcus Stroman (knee) could start next weekend
Marcus Stroman (knee) could rejoin the Toronto Blue Jays' rotation next Saturday against the New York Yankees.
He has just one more rehab start on the docket, with Triple-A Buffalo on Monday. His first rehab appearance went excellently; he struck out seven batters over 4.2 scoreless innings for Low-A Lansing last week. If he returns in time, he'll likely bump Mark Buehrle this week, and then Drew Hutchison the following week.
He tore his ACL in March, so this would be a miraculous recovery for the young righty. Look for the Jays to be very cautious with their high-value prospect, but if all systems are go, he could be a key player in the Jays' playoff run in 2015.
