Pat Valaika starting at third base as Rockies welcome Braves
Colorado Rockies shortstop Pat Valaika is moving over to third base on Monday against the Atlanta Braves.
What It Means:
Valaika normally spells Trevor Story at shortstop, but with Nolan Arenado sitting out because of injury, Valaika will make his fourth start at the hot corner this season. He is moving down one spot from where he batted Sunday, as he is hitting seventh against right-hander Julio Teheran.
