Mets activate Juan Lagares (thumb) from DL

New York Mets outfielder Juan Lagares has been activated from the team's 10-day disabled list.

What It Means:

Lagares has been out just short of two months after fracturing his left thumb back on June 15th. After undergoing a successful surgery and making it through an 11-game rehab stint, the 28-year-old will return to the big leagues, where he will likely see some starts with Jay Bruce now in Cleveland.

Prior to suffering the injury, Lagares turned out 2 home runs, 8 RBI and a .269 average in 102 plate appearances. Our models project him for 4 extra-base hits, 3 RBI and a .257 average the rest of the way.
