Jose Altuve out for Astros on Friday night
Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve is not starting on Friday versus the Toronto Blue Jays.
Marwin Gonzalez will draw the start at second base on Friday, sending Altuve to the bench in a rare day off for the 27-year-old All-Star. Tyler White will get another start on first base for Houston. Altuve is slashing a robust .365/.425/.575 with 16 home runs, 62 RBI, 75 runs scored, and 24 steals in 464 plate appearances (105 games) this season.
numberFire's models project Altuve to record a .322 batting average with 7 home runs, 30 RBI, 34 runs scored, and 8 steals in 226 plate appearances over the remainder of the year.
