Derek Norris (shoulder) not in San Diego lineup
San Diego Padres catcher Derek Norris is not in Wednesday's lineup.
Norris had to leave Tuesday's game in the seventh inning with a hyperextended shoulder. The injury occurred when Adrian Beltre slid into his arm on a play at the plate. "They'll see how it feels tomorrow when I wake up," Norris said Tuesday. "Sometimes these things can bounce back quick, sometimes they linger. ... Hopefully we'll be okay to go tomorrow. We'll see." Austin Hedges is handling catching duties tonight.
Norris owns a .301 wOBA with 13 homers and 56 RBI, both of which are career-highs. We have him projected for a .708 OPS and three homers for the remainder of the season.
