Texas Rangers outfielder Carlos Gomez has been dropped to eighth in the batting order on Tuesday night.
Gomez made his first start as the Rangers' leadoff man since April 24. The veteran outfielder went 1-for-4 with 2 strikeouts. He is back in the bottom half of the lineup, where he has spent the majority of the season.
