Alex Avila not in the Tigers' lineup for Tuesday's home game
Detroit Tigers catcher Alex Avila is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's home clash with the Kansas City Royals.
Avila takes a seat as Detroit draws a matchup with a southpaw in Danny Duffy tonight, and James McCann will handle catching duties while batting seventh.
Avila has a big .381 wOBA through 73 games in 2017, and numberFire's models project him to bat .234 and add 6 home runs and 18 RBI in 168 plate appearances over the remainder of the season.
