Kyle Hendricks activated, starting Monday for Cubs
The Chicago Cubs activated starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks from the 10-day disabled list.
Hendricks has been sidelined with tendinitis in his pitching hand, but the 27-year-old right-hander will make his first major league start since May 4 as the defending champs open up a home series with the Chicago White Sox on Monday afternoon. He was off to a rather disappointing start prior to injury, as Hendricks twirled a 4.09 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and 20.2 strikeout percentage across 61 2/3 innings while compiling a 4-3 record (11 starts).
numberFire's models project Hendricks to score 33.3 FanDuel points at a cost of $8,400 on Monday afternoon, making him an extremely attractive option in a matchup where the Cubs are heavy favorites against a White Sox club that has the lowest implied total of the day (3.21 runs).
