Alen Hanson on bench as White Sox face Royals
Chicago White Sox second baseman/outfielder Alen Hanson is not starting on Friday night versus the Kanas City Royals.
Hanson returns to the bench after starting in Wednesday's series finale with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Adam Engel is starting in center field and batting ninth versus Royals right-hander Ian Kennedy.
Hanson is slashing .218/.271/.300 in 291 plate appearances (79 games) this season. numberFire's models project him to turn in a .257 batting average in 211 remaining plate appearances over the rest of the campaign.
