Colin Moran recalled by Astros
Houston Astros infielder Colin Moran was recalled from Triple-A Fresno.
Moran will replace Carlos Correa on the active roster after it was announced on Tuesday that the star shortstop will miss six-to-eight weeks with a torn ligament in his thumb. Marwin Gonzalez projects to see most of the starts at short, but Moran will be worth the add if he sees regular playing time for Houston.
The 24-year-old infielder was slashing .308/.373/.543 with 18 home runs and 63 RBI in 79 games this season for the Fresno Grizzlies.
