Tigers considering trading Michael Fulmer

The Detroit Tigers "have considered," trading starting pitcher Michael Fulmer according to Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press.

What It Means:

Fenech mentioned that the Cubs were the ones pursuing Fulmer the most, but after acquiring Jose Quintana that probably puts them out of the sweepstakes. Fulmer won't be arbitration eligible until 2019 and he is under team control until 2022, so there is no sense in the Tigers rushing to trade him unless they are getting a big haul in return.

Our models project Fulmer to post a 3.37 ERA and 1.19 WHIP, with 64 strikeouts over 93.6 innings remaining this season.
