Orioles' Zach Britton drawing interest from Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers are among the teams with interest in Baltimore Orioles closer Zach Britton, according to Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports.

What It Means:

Britton, who missed two months in the first half with a left forearm strain, is drawing interest from all over the majors, but it remains to be seen whether the Orioles are interested in selling him. If the 29-year-old left-hander is dealt to the Dodgers, he projects to serve as a setup man for Kenley Jansen.

Since the start of the 2014 season, Britton has recorded a stifling 1.43 ERA with a 0.95 WHIP and 26.4 strikeout percentage across 221 innings while going 125-for-133 on save chances. Over the remainder of the year, numberFire's models project Britton to turn in a 3.10 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, and 26.5 strikeout percentage.
