C.J. Cron recalled by Angels
The Los Angeles Angels recalled first baseman C.J. Cron from Triple-A Salt Lake.
What It Means:
Cron hasn't played in the majors since June 21. He figures to draw some starts versus left-handers. The Angels optioned right-hander Parker Bridwell to Salt Lake in a corresponding move.
The 27-year-old first baseman is hitting .212/.266/.297 with 2 home runs and 14 RBI in 129 big league plate appearances (34 games) this season.
