Braves' Matt Adams makes an early exit with a foot injury
Atlanta Braves first baseman Matt Adams was forced out of Thursday night's game against the San Diego Padres with a left foot contusion.
Adams fouled a ball off his foot in the second inning, forcing him to make the early exit. X-rays came back negative, but there's still no word on how long he may be sidelined. Jace Peterson replaced Adams at first last night.
Adams has a career-best .372 wOBA through 68 games in 2017, and before the injury, numberFire's models had him projected to bat .267 and add 10 home runs and 32 RBI in 213 plate appearances over the remainder of the season.
