Brewers put Chase Anderson (oblique) on DL
The Milwaukee Brewers placed starting pitcher Chase Anderson on the 10-day disabled list with a left oblique strain.
Anderson suffered the injury while batting in the second inning of Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Cincinnati Reds. While there is no timetable for his return, oblique injuries tend to linger, likely sidelining Anderson for multiple weeks. His replacement in the rotation has yet to be determined.
Anderson was 6-2 with a 4.15 SIERA through 90 1/3 innings pitched and is projected, by our models, for a 3.86 ERA and 39 punchouts over 49 innings the rest of the season.
