Kevin Gausman doesn't allow a run as Orioles defeat Toronto
Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Kevin Gausman kept the scoreboard spotless while scattering four hits and two walks with four strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings in Tuesday's victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.
What It Means:
It was an encouraging performance for what has been an otherwise dreadful season for the 26-year-old right-hander, but he always seems to have Toronto's number. He's now 4-7 in 17 starts this year with a 6.07 ERA, 1.84 WHIP and 16.6 strikeout percentage across 86 innings. He'll take on the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday in his next trip to the mound.
