Robert Gsellman leaves Mets' game early with hamstring issue
New York Mets starting pitcher Robert Gsellman suffered a left hamstring strain on Tuesday night.
Gsellman suffered the injury while running out a grounder in the fourth inning during a 6-3 road loss to the Miami Marlins on Tuesday night. He'll most likely require a stint on the disabled list. The sophomore right-hander allowed three runs on five hits over five innings with four strikeouts and no walks before his night was cut short.
For the season, Gsellman remains 5-5 while twirling a 6.16 ERA (4.53 xFIP), 1.62 WHIP and 16.1 strikeout percentage across 76 innings (14 starts).
