Giants' Gregor Blanco (hip) out of the lineup Thursday
San Francisco Giants outfielder Gregor Blanco (hip) is out of the Giants' starting lineup Thursday against the Chicago Cubs.
Blanco was a late scratch from Wednesday's game with a left hip strain, but he felt good running in the outfield on Thursday morning and could be available off the bench already. Juan Perez is starting in center field and batting seventh on Thursday afternoon.
Assuming he avoids the disabled list, we have Blanco projected for a .262 average and .713 OPS the rest of the way.
