Rene Rivera smashes two homers in Mets' victory
New York Mets catcher Rene Rivera went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three total RBI in Sunday's 8-2 win over the San Francisco Giants.
Rivera got to work early in the game, smashing a two-run bomb to make the score 3-0 in the second inning and two innings later he added a solo shot. It was an unusually powerful day for the backup catcher, but welcome nonetheless for those who happened to roster him in DFS.
Our models project Rivera for a .226 average with 3 home runs and 15 RBI over 145 plate appearances remaining this season.
