Blue Jays' Steve Pearce out of Thursday's lineup
Toronto Blue Jays utility man Steve Pearce is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's matchup with the Texas Rangers.
Pearce will head to the bench as Kevin Pillar enters center and Dwight Smith moves to left. The latter will bat sixth and eighth, respectively, in the Blue Jays lineup.
Pearce has 5 home runs and a .331 wOBA on the year. Our projections expect him to add 6 more longballs over the rest of the season.
