Indians place Michael Brantley (ankle) on the 10-day DL

Cleveland Indians outfielder Michael Brantley (ankle) has been placed on the 10-day DL, retroactive to June 16.

What It Means:

Brantley was away from the team over the weekend as his wife gave birth. He rejoined the team on Monday but will sit out a week as he rests an ankle injury that has been nagging him since late-May. Cleveland expects to activate him when first available next Monday.

Our algorithms project Brantley for a .270 batting average with 36 runs scored in 292 plate appearances the rest of the season.
