Former Cleveland Indians reliever Chris Perez has decided to retire from baseball.
Perez was in Triple-A with the Baltimore Orioles, serving out a 50-game suspension after a second positive test for a drug of abuse.
Perez, who is only now 30 years old, made consecutive All-Star games for the Indians in 2011 and 2012. Perez most recently pitched with the Los Angeles Dodgers last year and in the minors with the Milwaukee Brewers this year.
