Taijuan Walker (blister) expected to return Wednesday for Arizona

Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Taijuan Walker (blister) is on track to rejoin the rotation on Wednesday against the Detroit Tigers.

What It Means:

The blister no longer appears to be an issue after Walker turned in another bullpen session on Saturday. Either Zack Godley or Randall Delgado will be pulled out of the Diamondbacks' rotation to make room for Walker, who hasn't thrown a major-league inning since May 19.

numberFire's models project Walker to go 5-5 over the remainder of the season while recording a 4.26 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 17.9 strikeout percentage across 88 2/3 innings.
