Rays' Kevin Kiermaier (hip) exits after awkward slide
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier left Thursday's game against the Chicago White Sox with a jammed left hip.
Kiermaier slid awkwardly into first base on a groundout in the fifth, jamming his left hip. He was replaced in the centerfield by Peter Boujos and in the lineup by Colby Rasmus. Kiermaier was 1-for-3 with a stolen base and RBI before exiting. He is considered day-to-day until he gets a further examination by team doctors.
Rasmus, who will likely start on Friday in place of Kiermaier, is projected for 9.0 FanDuel points versus the Oakland A's and Andrew Triggs.
