Pirates' Jameson Taillon (cancer) will make another rehab start
Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Jameson Taillon (cancer) will make another rehab start Wednesday with Triple-A Indianapolis.
Taillon already has had two rehab starts since undergoing surgery for testicular cancer just four weeks ago. He allowed no earned runs over five innings of work on Friday, so it appears that Wednesday might be his final rehab start before returning to the Pirates.
Taillon owns a 3.31 ERA and 1.33 WHIP over 35.1 innings pitched in 2017. His strikeout rate of 20.1 percent is just under the 20.3 mark he set in 2016.
