Kole Calhoun's two home runs not enough as Angels fall to Twins
Los Angeles Angels outfielder Kole Calhoun swatted a pair of solo home runs on Thursday, but it wasn't enough as the Angels fell 4-2 to the Minnesota Twins.
The Angels didn't get on the board until Calhoun took Twins' starter Adalberto Mejia deep in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game at 1-1. He then led off the eighth with a dinger off of Taylor Rogers, giving the Angels a 2-1 lead before their collapse in the top of the ninth.
Calhoun has been quiet from the dish in 2017, slashing .213/.293/.348 with a .279 wOBA over 232 plate appearances.
