Tampa Bay places Matt Andriese (groin) on the disabled list
The Tampa Bay Rays have placed pitcher Matt Andriese (groin) on the 10-day disabled list.
Andriese made an early exit with a groin injury on Tuesday, though it was diagnosed as only a mild sprain, and it looks he will likely be ready to go as soon as he's eligible to be activated.
Andriese has posted a 3.45 ERA, 4.19 SIERA, 21.2 percent strikeout rate, 8.2 percent walk rate and 1.28 WHIP over 11 games (60 innings pitched) in 2017.
