Dodgers will have Hyun-Jin Ryu start on Wednesday
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu will start on Wednesday versus the St. Louis Cardinals.
Ryu is filling in for Alex Wood who was placed on the 10-day disabled list with SC joint inflammation. The 30-year-old left-hander last pitched on Thursday, tossing four scoreless relief innings to earn the first save of his career. Wednesday is just a spot start for Ryu as Wood is expected to be back after missing just 10 days.
Ryu owns a 4.28 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, and 21.5 strikeout percentage in 40 innings pitched this season.
