Athletics scratch Kendall Graveman Friday, Sean Manaea to start
Oakland Athletics pitcher Sean Manaea will move up to start Friday versus the New York Yankees in place of Kendall Graveman, reports Joe Stiglich of NBC Sports California.
What It Means:
Manaea was slotted to start Saturday, but Stiglich notes that Jharel Cotton may take his place in the Athletics' rotation. Graveman may be dealing with an unspecified injury. He landed on the disabled list in April due to a shoulder issue.
Graveman owns a 3.83 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 16.5 strikeout percentage in 47 innings (eight starts) this season.
