Luis Severino blanks the Royals over eight frames in Yankees' victory
New York Yankees pitcher Luis Severino dazzled on Wednesday, firing eight shutout frames in a 3-0 win over the Kansas City Royals.
Severino fanned 7 Royals in the game, allowing only one walk and four hits as he moved to 3-2 on the year.
Severino has been outstanding this year, with a 3.11 ERA, 3.16 SIERA, 27.6 percent strikeout rate, 6.3 percent walk rate and 1.05 WHIP through 9 starts (55 innings pitched) in 2017.
